ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) has consulted on the Guidelines on systems and controls in a highly automated trading environment for trading platforms, investment firms and competent authorities, with a deadline 3rd of October 2011.
NSA response to the consultation is now available at this website, under Consultation Responses - 2011.
We are supportive of the harmonising and clarification of guidelines but, inter alia, stress the need for simultaneous implementation throughout Europe. For more information, see our official reply.
